Navara Rice

Widely consumed in Kerala, Navara rice is one variety of red rice which is usually made into a fine powder and mixed with milk just like cereal. It has a religious significance and is used in temples for making ‘prasad’. This variety is called ‘gold with fragrance’ in the Ayurvedic medicinal community in Kerala. Apart from consumption, this rice is used for external medicinal purposes. 

Cooking Instructions
Wash and soak the rice as the recipe suggests.
