Kai Murukku - Sweet Karam Coffee

Kai Murukku, literally translating to "hand-rolled," embodies the essence of traditional South Indian cooking. The dough for this South Indian chakli is kneaded for a long time, once stiff enough, it is piped into spiral patterns. 

Rice flour provides for a nice texture, while urad dal flour adds a touch of earthiness. Cumin seeds and butter have a warm depth of flavour, and a sprinkle of salt ties everything together, creating irresistible, savoury notes.
