Athirasam - அதிரசம்

Athirasam is a popular, deep-fried south Indian dessert made from rice flour jaggery and ghee. The name comes from the Tamil words athir meaning "honey" and sam meaning "sweet". The sweet has a crispy outer layer and a soft, melt-in-your-mouth inner layer. Athirasam is often flavored with coconut, banana, almonds, or other spices like cardamom, sesame, pepper, and ginger powder.
